November 8, 2003:

The Genocide Awareness Project was on campus, as expected, on October 30th. Due to problems with regulations set by the university, Students for Choice did not protest the display. However, there was a very strong pro-choice presence, as always, by various students, staff and faculty who felt that it was important to voice their views that a woman should ALWAYS have the right to choose what is right for her body.

For more information on why Students for Choice was not at the display, please see our press release.

October 12, 2003:

Here we are at the beginning of another school year, and we are finally updating our website. We were all very excited to see lots of new faces at our table at Clubs Days. Welcome to all of our new members, and we look forward to seeing you at meetings and events!

This year, we are planning a number of events and activities to provide information and build community around issues of choice. Please check back regularly, as events will be posted on this site throughout the year.

We have been informed that the Genocide Awareness Project will be on campus at UBC on Thursday, October 30th from 10 am-2pm. As always, Students for Choice will have be present to protest their display. Please feel free to join us to hold a banner or simply to learn more about reproductive options. Alternately, if you do not wish to be confronted with images which some people find very disturbing, please feel free to avoid the South End of the SUB during those times. For more information on the G.A.P. and why we oppose it, please see the F.A.Q..
